Nurturing Intelligence and Team Spirit: The Journey of ‘Hasta La Vista’ in ZAKOVAT

In the heart of Uzbekistan, a wave of intellectual empowerment is spreading through the vibrant and competitive game known as ZAKOVAT. This initiative has become a symbol of youth engagement, smart entertainment, and educational development. Unlike traditional competitions, ZAKOVAT is an intellectual game designed to challenge the mind, foster teamwork, and stimulate curiosity among participants.
Recently, a remarkable event took place in Tashkent city, where bright young minds gathered to compete in one of the most exciting and prestigious ZAKOVAT tournaments organized by the “Oltin Qanot” Volunteer Community. Among many teams, one stood out-Hasta La Vista, a group of passionate, strategic, and knowledgeable students who represented not only themselves but the values of unity, perseverance, and mental strength.
Through several intense rounds filled with complex questions, logical puzzles, and rapid thinking challenges, Hasta La Vista emerged victorious, proudly securing 1st place in the competition. Their win was not just a result of knowledge, but also of their ability to trust one another, remain calm under pressure, and think critically as a team.
This achievement was recognized and celebrated by the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, particularly the Faculty of English Philology, where the members of Hasta La Vista study. The faculty praised the team’s outstanding performance and emphasized the importance of such intellectual platforms in modern education.
ZAKOVAT, which means "intelligence" in Uzbek, is more than just a game-it’s a movement that encourages youth to explore beyond their textbooks. It promotes a culture of learning through competition, helping students strengthen their general knowledge across various subjects such as science, history, literature, and logic. Moreover, it teaches vital soft skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and strategic thinking.
The story of Hasta La Vista is one of dedication and growth. Before entering this competition, the team spent weeks preparing, attending training sessions, and working on their coordination. They studied not only facts but also how to support each other in a high-pressure environment. Their name, Hasta La Vista, meaning “See you later” in Spanish, reflects their confident and bold spirit—they were determined to leave an impression and come back even stronger.

Winning this competition has given the team motivation to aim even higher. They now aspire to participate in regional and national tournaments, representing their university and inspiring others to take part in such meaningful activities. Through their journey, Hasta La Vista has proven that intellectual competitions can be both educational and thrilling.
As ZAKOVAT continues to grow in popularity across Uzbekistan, it is vital to support and encourage such programs. They play a crucial role in shaping future leaders who are not only academically strong but also socially aware and intellectually curious.
The success of Hasta La Vista is a testament to what young minds can achieve when they are given the opportunity, guidance, and platform to shine. Let this be a message to all students: your mind is your greatest asset-nurture it, challenge it, and let it lead you to greatness.
