Namangan, often called the floral capital of Central Asia, once again captivated the world with the 64th International Flower Festival, held from May 25 to June 29, 2025. This year’s event was among the most impressive in the festival’s rich history, transforming the city into a living masterpiece of color, fragrance, and artistry.
Over 100 million flowers were planted across the city, blanketing parks, streets, and boulevards in vibrant floral tapestries.
More than 200 flower-adorned vehicles paraded along a 10-kilometer route, from Namangan International Airport to the city center.
250 local and international florists showcased breathtaking floral compositions, many inspired by Uzbek culture and nature.
The event welcomed over 500,000 visitors, including 121,000 guests from other regions of Uzbekistan and 6,600 international visitors from countries such as Russia, China, Turkey, Germany, India, and beyond.
A Festival of Beauty, Culture, and Unity
The festival’s official opening took place at Babur Park, where the Governor of Namangan Region, Shavkatjon Abdurazakov, delivered a warm welcome to participants and guests. He emphasized that this festival not only celebrates natural beauty but also promotes peace, culture, and international friendship.
What makes this festival unique is the way it blends art, tradition, and ecological consciousness. The floral displays featured traditional Uzbek motifs, and many were arranged using sustainable, environmentally friendly techniques. Artificial canals filled with colorful Koi fish added a soothing harmony between flora and water.
Uzbekistan on the World Stage
Namangan’s Flower Festival is far more than a floral exhibition - it is a celebration of Uzbek identity, creativity, and hospitality. Guests were treated not only to flowers, but also to traditional handicrafts, folk music and dance, and national cuisine served in decorative yurts. It was a journey through centuries of Uzbek heritage, displayed through living art.
