Nasir Aijaz – Sindh (Prepared Angela Kosta)
Japanese Gogyoshi Style English Poetry
By Nasir Aijaz - Sindh, Pakistan

Zero Hour

December surrenders to January at zero hour
The moment for the people to welcome the New Year
Wasting billions of dollars on bullets, fired in the air,
With thunders like the launch of military operations,
Instead of buying happiness to the poor.

***

Dreams Fly Out
I let loose the dreams
To fly out of the window
Like a bird
To enjoy the freedom under the open sky
Unlike me, languishing in a cage of the world.

***

Time does not stop
The clock stops ticking
Its arms are motionless
Complete silence prevails
It doesn't mean that
The time too has stopped.

***

Fight for the Right
Fight for the right
Come what may
Don't get suppressed by military might.
Humans are born free
Freedom is their birthright.
