Poetja Kang Jeung-Hwa ka doktoraturë në gjuhë letërsi. Debutimin e saj të parë letrar, e bëri në vitin 1984 nëpërmjet revistës periodike të letërsisë "Simunhak". Ka botuar 13 përmbledhje poezish, duke përfshirë "Era dhe Errësira", dhe u vlerësua me çmim në konkursin e 17-të letrar: "Simunhak". Më parë Dr Kang ka qenë Kryetarja e 27-të e Divizionit të Poezisë së Shoqatës Koreane të Shkrimtarëve dhe aktualisht është Zv. Presidentja e 28-të e Shoqatës Koreane të Shkrimtarëve.
DO TË RILINDJA SËRISH SI NJË PEMË
Po të vdisja, si një pemë do të rilindja
për të qenë tepër e fortë kur më shkund era
për të qenë qull kur papushim bie shiu
t'i rezistoja nxehtësisë së fillimit të verës
të duroja ngricat gjatë dimrit
të prodhoja unazat vjetore në trup.
Po të vdisja, do t'i mbillja sërish rrënjët në të njëjtin vend
për të mos qenë një pemë e vjetër, e vetmuar që vështirësitë kapërcen
por të jem e fortë edhe pse jetohet në një jetë të shkurtër.
Do të isha shumë e kënaqur me jetën time kështu siç është
nëse do të mundesha pemët e vogla t'i ndihmoja
me të gjitha ndihmat që mund t'u jap
t'i mbroja nga kërcënimi i stuhive.
Në fund të jetës sime, pasi kaq shumë fatkeqësi eksperimentova
asgjë tjetër nuk do të mbetej, përtej asaj çka dëshiroj
nëse do të mund të vdisja për të mbrojtur pemët e gjalla, me mbështetjen time.

La poetessa Kang Jeung-Hwa ha conseguito un dottorato di ricerca in letteratura e ha fatto il suo debutto letterario nel 1984 attraverso la rivista mensile di letteratura "Simunhak". Ha pubblicato 13 raccolte di poesie, tra cui "Il vento e il buio". Ha ricevuto il gran premio al 17° concorso Letterario di "Simunhak". In precedenza è stata 27° Presidente della Divisione Poesia dell'Associazione degli Scrittori Coreani e, attualmente è il 28° Vice Presidente dell'Associazione degli Scrittori Coreani.
SAREI RINATA DI NUOVO COME UN ALBERO
Se morissi, come un albero rinascerei
per essere forte quanto il vento mi scossa
per essere tanto inzuppata quanto a dirotto piovesse
per resistere al caldo all'inizio d'estate
sopportando il freddo gelido durante l'inverno
producendo gli anelli annuali nel corpo.
Se morissi, metterei di nuovo radici allo stesso posto
per non essere un vecchio albero solitario che le difficoltà supera
ma di essere forte anche se si vive in una breve vita.
Sarei molto soddisfatta della mia vita così com'è
se posso aiutare i piccoli alberi con tutti i supporti che posso dare
proteggendoli dalla minaccia dei temporali.
Alla fine della mia vita, dopo aver sperimentato così tante sciagure
nient'altro rimarrebbe, oltre ciò desidero
se potessi morire per proteggere gli alberi vivi
con il mio sostegno.

Poet Kang Jeung-hwa holds a Ph.D. in literature and made her literary debut in 1984 through the monthly literature magazine Simunhak. She has published 13 poetry collections, including The Wind and the Darkness, and received the 17th Simunhak Literature Award. She previously served as the 27th Chair of the Poetry Division of the Korean Writers’ Association and is currently the 28th Vice President of the Korean Writers’ Association.
I WOULD BE BORN AGAIN AS A TREE
If I die, I would be born again as a tree
being shaken as much as the wind blows
being soaked as much as the rain pours
withstanding the heat during the early summer
enduring the freezing cold during the winter
producing the annual rings in the body
If I die, I would take root in a place again
not to be an old lonesome tree overcoming hardships
but to be strong one even if living in a short life
I would be very satisfied with my life as such
if I can help small trees with all the supports
I can give protecting them from the threatening of rainstorms
At the end of my life after experiencing so many deaths
there would be nothing left I wish for
if I can die to protect the trees alive with my supports.

나무로 다시 태어나리
내 죽어 한 그루 나무 된다며
바람 부는 날 부는 만큼 흔들리고
비 오는 날 오는 만큼 젖으며
오뉴월 땡볕 거뜬히 견디고
동지설달 추위 참아가며
해가고 달 가도록 나이테 키우리.
내 죽어 다시 한곳에 뿌리내려
외롭게 수백 년 풍파 이기는 고목되어
오래 사느니 장정 팔뚝 크기로 살다가
더 작은 나무 비바람에 시달릴까
두 손 두 팔 벌려 버팀목으로 다시
살아진다며 무슨 여한이 또 있을까.
죽고 또 죽는 목숨 끝자리
죽어서 다시 살아있는 나무 지키는
버팀목 된다며 무슨 여한 있으리.
