LET’S REMEMBER MOTHERS TOO

When running tirelessly for the world,
And longing for your mother’s face,
One request, when the time comes,
Let’s remember our mothers too.

She waits with tearful eyes,
Her trembling hand holds a cane,
Her white hair shines with light,
Let’s remember our mothers too.

Faithless friends offer no help,
They cannot aid you in any way.
Seeing you lifts her spirits,
Let’s remember our mothers too.

Once or twice a week, take some bread,
Bring it so she can rejoice.
Her eyes await you, sparkling,
Let’s remember our mothers too.

She gave her chest to nourish you,
Her trembling hand holds a cane,
Her white hair shines with light,
Let’s remember our mothers too.

“Come, my child,” she says, “let me see you.
Let me rejoice in your face once more.
Don’t let me cry endlessly,”
Let’s remember our mothers too.
