NOVEMBER AUTUMN

Frowning skies and a stern, cold gaze,
November wraps the land in dusky haze.
A golden world sighs in sorrowed tone,
Whispers secrets when you're alone.
Mist lays thick, and dew has kissed the earth,
Bringing quiet sadness, not mirth.
Golden leaves, a thief wind sweeps,
Taking autumn’s treasure as it leaps.
As if daughters were sent away in tears,
Birds fly south, flapping wings through fears.
The world has yellowed, dimmed its light,
Perhaps from longing hidden out of sight.
Like a child’s soft heart, so pure and shy,
The world soon fades beneath pale sky.
From afar, frost paints its chilling sign —
Old man Winter sends a subtle line.
