YOUR BEAUTY
When you close your eyes, think only of me
For I will come in dreams to tell you I love you,
When your body is laid on the bed
In your nightgown, unbuttoned without guilt,
I will gently touch you, not to wake you from sleep
From the burning embers, I will blaze all!...
And I will come out easily, like the leaves of autumn
And I will go to the river, right to the mountain's water,
When you hear tomorrow that the waterfall has taken me,
Do not worry at all, do not cry for me,
I do not want tears in your eyes, nor any moans,
Your beauty has shattered my heart!...
NOW I AM CONVINCED OF MANY THINGS!
Now I am convinced of many things
That gratitude goes beyond paradise,
It circles and wraps and takes it as a reward
Like a tie wrapped around the neck!...
But I am also convinced about the ungrateful ones
No matter how thick their necks may be,
The tie will thin and thin so much
Until the last breath to hell.
I am convinced of many, many things
About paradise and hell that we forget,
But for one thing, I wait, for a sign from the great God
So that the afterlife I want to know if it exists!...
IN THE SEVENTH HEAVEN
You fixed your eyes on my path, my dear,
And I laughed with your crystal eyes,
With your lips inviting me, your white skin tempting me,
And all that beauty you granted me, oh rare goddess.
And under the white sheets, lavender-scented with your essence,
I burn entirely from the heat when I see you naked like that,
We take two steps towards each other, and our lips touch,
I throw away the dear cigarette; there’s no time, for time is precious.
We feel free, happy in the seventh heaven,
The sheets wrinkle hastily over this bed,
Ecstasy, murmurs, words, and incomprehensible sounds,
An erotic exploration, the tension of desire knows no end.
And your swollen breast, mingling with my heart,
The beats synchronize, both melting into one shell,
An undiscovered treasure, a rare pearl,
Memory, dream, or life itself, is a wild love...
ANCIENT AS LIFE ITSELF!
Ancient as life itself,
As the air, as breath, as the sea,
As the tall heroic mountains
You are, my Dardania.
Old, wise, without sins,
You have never wronged anyone,
The others broke you into pieces,
And now we celebrate independence as crazy.
You should have been the foremost state in Europe,
As they called you the Illyrian peninsula,
My heart can’t bring itself to mention seventeen,
I would have preferred a thousand seven hundred!…
But no, no my dear land,
We can't always rejoice for you,
God granted us the land and the beautiful language
But godless devils have never left us in peace!
