ANUJEET IQBAL

Introduction
I'm Anujeet Iqbal from India. I am 39 years of age. I have authored four books and my more than 70 poems have been published in the various newspapers of India, Italy, Germany and Canada.
I write in English, Hindi and Punjabi. I have won various awards in writing and painting, including "Antonio Machado National Universal Award" and "Ruben Dario Award", from Columbia.
Basically I put love into words.

AN OASIS (MUSINGS OF A WOMAN)

My love, oh how I adore thy grace
Thy calm eyes, my soul's embrace
All over the map, my love does soar
When unseen, I yearn for more

Candidly I love, like striving for right
A love untainted, bright as daylight
Away from you my heart goes stray
You're an oasis, where I find my way

For in every moment, each day I find
A shy longing and love's whisper kind
Like every sunset's fleecy caress
You bring warmth and love,I confess

In equal measure, these words I sow
To express love that eternally flows
How I cherish thee, my very own
Amidst the cacophony you've shone

FOR THE HOLY MUSE
(Musings of a woman)

Whose worship shall I sing
Whose name do I adore?
In this love’s celestial dance forevermore
Should I carve your face
In every prayer?
Or let the universe weave
Our souls, a pair

You are my sublime deity
In every truth I find
In your seraphic eyes
The cosmos intertwined
Oh, let my devotion to you
Be a sacred art
Grant me the greatest solace
In your heart

In every poem
You’re my revered muse
In your existence
Thousand galaxies I peruse
Within the temple of my love
We abide
Guided by omniscient
Floating in the eternal tide

HOW DO I LOVE YOU
(Musings of a woman)

I love you as the sun brightens the forgotten lands
I love you as the ocean holds the grains of sands
I love you as eternity cherishes the endless blends

I love you as the rain kisses the arid earth's lips
I love you like autumn paints trees with golden dips
I love you as the soul seeks comfort in cosmic trips

I love you like the constellations sway in the sky
Like the symphony of undertone that serenely comply
I love you like the enigmas in the universe we defy

I love you beyond the enclosures of space and time
I love you as the quest of love that seeks sublime
I love you as the recherché verse, a treasured paradigm

I Don't love you as if you were ordinary or mundane
But as someone exceptional, a heavenly arcane
I love you in ways even I could not explain
