MY EMPTY CHAIR

Scuffling the heat, the earth bears
Toiling the fields with scars of tan
Here comes the drizzling
Of pouring rain
Gazing upon the glory
Of beauty unfold…
Singing thunder songs , creating the
Havoc of wonders …

The calmness of ocean , drowning
My sorrows deep.
Each wave giving a message,
Nothing is forever …
Everything that comes
Has to vanish away.

The bed of stars beautifully sewn
In the Sky, the myriads of splendour;
Loved so fondly, little reminders of Forget - me- nots.
In the dark blanket of night,
Witnessing your majesty.

The queen of night shines
On the harbour quays,
Blooming with her silver crown
Assuring us as it glows ,
Nudging us to the next sunrise;
For every end
Has a beautiful beginning.

One fine day it will all be gone
That message in an empty bottle
Dry flowers in the page of my book
The withered bluebells
Down the windowsill
The dreams unfulfilled!

Beckoning my days past
My stories untold, my songs unsung
Birds will sing my blues away
And the winds will caress
My empty chair.
Would life not love me again?
