Prekaz A Legacy of the Brave - He Is Alive (Chronology) - Third Edition with Additions

 I would like to express my deepest gratitude for publishing the historical book, Prekaz: A Legacy of the Brave - He Is Alive (Chronology), which recounts the life of Adem Jashari, one of the legendary heroes of the Albanian people. I also commend your dedication and effort in translating one of the most painful and significant chapters of recent Kosovar history into a global context.
Adem Jashari’s figure stands as a symbol of courage and sacrifice, serving as a beacon of hope for generations to come. His leadership and unwavering resistance against the oppression and genocide endured by the Albanian people during the Kosovo War exemplify the spirit of resilience and dignity. As history remembers, in 1999, during the brutal offensive by Serbian forces against the Albanian population of Kosovo, 52 members of the Jashari family were massacred. Heroically resisting the Serbian military and police forces, his entire family fell in a barbaric manner. This act of violence is one among countless war crimes that marked a period of immense pain and devastation for our people.
The widespread genocide suffered by the Kosovar people-resulting in thousands of deaths and the displacement of tens of thousands-is a tragedy that must never be forgotten. The publication of this book in South Korea not only honors the memory of those who lost their lives but also serves as a powerful reminder to the world of the atrocities that occurred. It is through such efforts that we can ensure these crimes are never repeated.
In a world that too often forgets the lessons of the past, it is crucial to preserve the historical memory of such events. By doing so, we not only pay justice to those who suffered but also educate future generations on the importance of peace, tolerance, and justice. Through the translation and publication of this significant work, you have undoubtedly achieved this noble goal.
I am deeply thankful to you, to the author Dibran Fylli, and to the Kosovar people for your contribution in bringing to light the story of Adem Jashari and the victims of the Kosovo genocide. You have given a voice to the martyrs whose sacrifices have paved the way for the freedom we cherish today.
I sincerely hope that your efforts in this historic and monumental project will continue to inspire and awaken the world. May it serve as a timeless reminder of our collective commitment to peace, justice, and the unwavering respect for human rights.
