Rajeshri Senapati Gogoi, poem
"The Rivers Grace"

A woman moves like a river moves,
Not in a line, but in rhythms and grooves
She finds the path
through the hardest stone,
With a quiet strength
That is all her own.
The flow of her spirit
She bends to the shore
But keeps her soul,
Through the jagged rocks and the deep,
dark hole.
Soft to the touch, yet she carves the land,
Sifting the gold from the common sand.
On the surface, a shimmering light,
But miles of mystery hidden from sight.
She does not fight the mountain
She simply outlasts it,
Flowing around the obstacles until they become part of her story.
She is the current, the pull, and the tide,
With an ocean of wisdom gathered inside.
From a mountain spring
to the widening sea,
She is fluid and fierce, and utterly free.
