LIFE SETS OUT ON A JOURNEY FOR THE SAKE OF BEAUTY
Spring arrives for love.
We cherish all the moments of sadness and joy in the heart of hearts
And soothe the weathered and weary journeys over distant mountains.
With a steadfast spirit,
Live with freedom and grace
On the pure canvas of the soul,
Every blooming flower
Becomes a joy the spirit deserves.
Morning sunshine of the Spring cannot be held back,
Life is fleeting
Every present moment is a truly precious time.
In the flower’s sweet scent
Drift away the regrets and sorrows with the breeze,
Don’t let the shadow of worries overshadow your heart
In this spring brimming with love,
If you and I
With a pleasure to meet in this radiant season,
Stirred by a resonance that pierces deep into the heart,
You will remain in my life, forever.
THE FEBRUARY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
In the countryside, in February,
I stand in rain-washed fields,
Arms outstretched, breathing deep,
Then slowly bend, press my face to the earth,
And breathe in the scent of awakened soil.
The sound of a new sprout breaking through the earth
Is far too faint-
However hard I listen,
I cannot grasp that instant of wonder.
The blood of farmers flows in me,
So will you understand
Why this wandering soul
Still yearns-
For wheat and rice,
For that humble plot upon the slope,
For the sun upon a straw hat.
How I long
In this February
To return to my homeland,
To walk and behold the land
The picture woven like my poetry.
A long-parted wanderer
Always dreams of weeping in his mother’s arms,
Till the tears melt into a spring rain shower.
