MY HAPPY ROOF
My home, which is a lovely place,
As l dwell with loving members who embrace,
Such as mom, dad, sister and brother,
Guide me to gradually grow.
Where people are known for unselfish acts,
And also collaborate with strong pacts,
Snuggle me with my beloved's care,
The heavenly food to share.
Render the best to my loved ones,
Seek it to take rest in my enclosed nest
Relaxes when l'm stressed,
Always staying blessed.
It's not how gigantic one's house is.
It's how ecstatic one's home is!
The place where l feel secure,
Gets aid and makes me cure.
Holding hands with kith and kin,
Rescuing me from committing sin,
Scaffolding me during odd-even situations,
Holding strong emotions.
Improves my well -being,
Gives me protection and warmth,
Providing me sufficient wealth,
Reflecting my identity,
Under one roof, engulfed with love and beauty.

“Writing is the tool of emotional healing”. Meet Abeera Mirza, an English literature gold medalist, teacher and gifted poet. She won numerous awards for her passion for words.
