SAROJA KRISHNAMURTHY

YOU AND ME

Our eyes hear our words,
spoken through our brows

We are like this since aeons
No one knows this you know

Our conversation merges
in the grandeur of
blue yonder

My small stream met yours
when I got out of the dry land
Our streams became rivers
Our rivers met the ocean.

It's good that people think of us, mute and blind.
Sometimes when they compel us to talk.
we confuse them with our
flute and,
translates those notes in our verses.
