Marjona Jo‘rayeva (poem)
LET THE HANDS THAT HELD THE FLAG NOW HOLD KNOWLEDGE

Let the hands that held the flag now hold knowledge,
Not just words - let action show their courage.
Let the name of the homeland be carved in the heart,
And grasp the future firmly with the pen’s art.
Greatness is not in applause or fame,
True glory lies in books and in the game.
If a tree stands tall, its shade will spread wide,
The nation must lean on those with wisdom as guide.
To be a soldier is an honor and pride,
If you are not one - then let books be your guide.
If you can’t defend with tanks on the land,
Defend the truth with thought, let knowledge stand.
Najmiddin held the flag and walked with pride,
Now raise up knowledge and keep it at your side.
In this peaceful, unique land so fair,
Study, seek, and rise with wisdom to dare.
