Karimova Dilafruz Javlonbek - Poem

WHISPERS OF COMING SPRING
(Longing for Spring)

A tender breeze of springtime days,
Refreshes every breath it finds.
Young saplings rustle as they sway,
As though they whisper, soft and kind.

Birdsong wanders through the air,
Rising now and then again.
Mistress of the blooming fair -
Blossoms grace the flowering plain.

Petals drift from every tree,
Scattering in flight so light.
Poplar leaves in harmony,
Quiver in the breeze’s flight.

Soon the sky was overcast,
Clouds drew curtains, dense and tall.
Even sunlight breathed its last,
Smothered by their ashen shawl.

Then the rain came pouring down,
Drenching earth on every side.
And a rainbow, like a crown,
Hung across the sky - pure pride.
