INNOCENT BLOOD

I can hear the cries of innocent children,
Screaming for justice, for survival
In a cruel world they were born
in but never chose.
With eyes longing for a chance to exist
And wake up to a beautiful morning one day
When all these terror around them cease.
Spare the innocence of these young angels
Created out of love, now suffering
From the hands of evil they know nothing of
Spare the children of Palestine
Almighty God,
spare them from this fury
Open the gates of heaven
to those who perished
And sacrificed their lives
for their faith all for your glory.

RACING TIME

Look at their faces
Bewilderment written in every crease
Anxiety cracking each vein
Dark circles around each eyes
Worry engulfing each waking day.
They are racing time
In a moment that seems frozen
The pandemic gets into their system
Humanity being erased by a single virus.
Racing time, fearing droplets in the air,
Suffocated, panic becoming a hobby
Life pathetically wrapped in worry
Racing time, how can we be fools
of our own doing?
Don't you realize evil is tempting our faith?
When fear takes the lead in every move we make?
When the Uninvited Guest death
Makes us forget the purpose of our life's journey.

Racing time, humanity in a frenzy
Have we abandoned all hope
That instead of living in fear each passing day,
We should spread love and compassion?
We don't have to race with time
And bring everything to a halt,
The Universe is challenging us in a hard way
Not anyone of us knows why.

WRITTEN IN THE STARS

They say for each person
There is a certain Miracle from within
And you are meant to be just for one person
As time draws to a close to meeting the One,
The Universe and your Spirit Guides
are on your side
To help you fulfill your One True Destiny.
It’s written in the stars
And before you know it,
I am coming to hold your hand
You may not know now but soon you’ll get it somehow
I may have bumped into you along life’s journey,
But you were too preoccupied
with your own story
That you didn’t notice me passing you by.
If in this life, we have to say goodbye
As my soul reincarnates,
I’ll meet you again in the next,
When our eyes lock as we cross our paths once more
You will know in your heart that it was me your Destiny,
Just look at the stars on a beautiful night such as this
And know that the time is near to feel eternal bliss.
It’s written in the stars
For even when True Love is lost,
Your soul will bleed for a meaning in your life
But though the inevitable happens,
searching for your One True Destiny remains
If we are yet to discover our One True Miracle,
Even time may defeat itself for you
to see me in another lifetime.

BIOGRAPHY:

Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo is a multi - awarded International Author/Poet and International Visual Artist from the Philippines. She published 2 books: "Seasons of Emotions" (UK) and "Inner Reflections of the Muse" (USA) and currently working on her 3rd book: "Vers d' Ambedo". She is also due to publish a poetry collaboration book "Verses of Meraki" with Shahid Abbas from Pakistan. Elizabeth is a co-author to more than 200 international anthologies and her works were already translated into 18 different languages. She is the Cultural Ambassador to the Philippines of Inner Child Press International, the Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill to the Philippines of Naciones Unidas delas Letras & Semillas de Juventud Siglo XXI based in Argentina, as well as the President Adjunto and Co-Founder of Real-izar La Paz South Asia and an Honorary Member. Camara Internacional de Escritores y Artistas (CIESART) based in Barcelona Spain appointed her as the President of CIESART Filipinas Headquarters and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Illustrious Council of the President. Elizabeth is advocating for women and children’s rights as well as environmental awareness as evident also in her artworks which already graced several local and international art exhibits.
She is an Editor and member of the Editorial Boards and Advisory Member of several magazines in the USA, India, Dubai, Russia, among others. Elizabeth is the President of PLOTS - Creative Magazine USA, an Executive Editor of Glitterati Quill with Spark, India, Advisory Board Member of Reflection Magazine based in Dubai, and an Art Direction Editor for Oceania of Humanity Magazine in Russia. She already graced several Author Interview Features, and international radio and TV programs promoting World Literature. Elizabeth’s artworks have already graced several local and international art exhibitions across the globe and has also garnered several art awards in India, Argentina, and South Korea. The most recent international art exhibits her work was featured in was at the Busan International Art Festival 2023 held in Busan, South Korea. She is the Owner and CEO of Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo with a mission of supporting other fellow international artists, promoting art and its healing properties, and mentoring young and aspiring artists across the globe. She has her small writing business Special Quill English Writing, Editing, Coaching Services and she gets to feature both local authors and artists in an Interview. Elizabeth also offers Social Media Promotions for businesses, book reviews, thesis paper assistance, editing, art exhibit title concepts, and art statements, etc.
