TWISTED STARS

 (Return)

The universe is still
within us forms expand without end
Through fiction we create ourselves
and what creates us
without witnesses
in the first breath of a newborn
The universe is still
everything else is unrest
from order into disorder
from peace into collapse
we spin
in cycles that never close
I watched the stars
those beauties of distant light
do they always have to be tangled
like us
they hid themselves
and shed tears of prayer
in chaos that never ends
lost like us
who wait for peace to crown us
maybe that is why everything is late
the beginning and the end in the
same movement of consciousness
The universe is still

can we embrace love and peace
without tearing our own weaknesses
the evolution of strength
is not proving
but enduring
human to human close to the heart
in decisions that do not divide
a labyrinth of the fragile body
in acceptance of the micro world
nature does not argue
it simply happens
spring in the flight of bees
in a song that does not ask
a meadow breathes
in fragile petals
sublime and silent
the beauty of existence
somewhere between light and darkness
life passes through itself
in the same breath
of disappearance and return

we leave behind records
of poured existence
maybe the journey of this era
will lead us among aligned stars
to feel
the breath of a newborn world
maybe stars were never tangled
maybe we made them so
from the depth of emptiness
and the quiet weight of anger
so we could not see their light
but in the tears of stars
we recognize one thing
a love that does not explain
The universe is still
