MONICA NERI

Monica Neri was born in Romania, but after several years she moved to Israel and subsequently to Italy in Reggio Calabria where she cultivated her love for poetry. I met Monica during a cultural event and when I heard her recite one of her poems I was amazed struck by its depth. With a strong and decisive character, but at the same time sensitive and sweet, Monica is a passionate woman and attentive mother, tied to her land of origin whose traditions she preserves. The return to Romania meant that he takes care of it lovingly and with dedication.
Her poetry contains the passion and energy that distinguish her.
The love for nature, the woods and the sea are the backdrop to her poetry. Life is not always easy and gives rise to delicate and passionate verses in her at the same time.

I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO

I wish I could transform
Distance and everything that separates us
In fog, to be able to dispel it
With a simple breath

I wanted to be a magician
To be able to cast spells
Sweet, sensual to satisfy
The desire to be together.

I wish I could have handed over
My hands on your chest
To feel how your heart trembles
When my lips join yours

I wanted to fall asleep
To dream our fairy tale
Without fear of waking up
And find the empty space next to me

I would have liked to but it's not possible
For the real times that exist
I'm satisfied for the moment
Just dreaming of what I would like to have!
