A Touch of Love
By me / Nageh Ahmed - Upper Egypt
He who inhabits my heart, I silence him
From saying while tears flow
He trembles, I lay him to sleep, the bitterness of love
In the terrifying sea of my passion
O poetry that died on the lines
Has the one I love lost his way?!
Who will deliver these poems?
Who will give to a lover who evades?!
If the heart sees it, it beats
With shyness and sweat gushes forth
From even saying welcome
Honor me, you who are the kindest!
From the cup of sorrows, I drink
From the most difficult concealment
What next? O painful home!
You revived me with the strangest death
The stroke of love struck me
Help me, O my closest side
My eyes, my sorrow, have not slept!
Night, morning, until sunset
Drunken victims in pain
Not knowing where you are going?!
Loss of the rivers of paradise
Lights gone, that might escape
Let my heart beat for once
Hear it if you watch
Do not distance yourself from my connection with you
Do not cast away the longings of the tormented
In misery and groaning you bring
With electricity, separation is difficult
The screams of a jailer beating
Please allow me to hear, I will try
To live one day, to express
My love, this is my last demand.
