HASSANE AJBOU - MOROCCO

AURA OF HOPE

Confess your disappointments and wait...
Pick a candle for your granddaughter and be present...
Merge with nightmares, dance with lanterns...
Draw a sun in your cell that steals from you...
Illuminate your yesterday with it...
Make your pains into poems that you hide from your jailers...
Recite prayers for the artists...
Rebel against your love for cigarettes and drink your virgin coffee...
When the secrets awaken, there's hope that begs you...
Between kisses, it implores you to give up your yellow advantages...
To satiate your lust in a free market...
Between the sea and the mountain, reflect your mirror...
The picture becomes clear, you can draw your present...
You can endure the view, and you can intercede for your thief...
You, tomorrow, will be Sisyphus...
You were and still are jealous, you flirt and grow without wings...
You are Icarus, the tired apostle of the dust of desires...
You are yesterday as you are today, hope that feeds our lethargy...
And quenches us with honey poured on the edge of the canals...
