Thabet Hassan Hamad - poem (Prepared Angela Kosta)
Poet Thabet Hassan Hamad - (IRAQ)

A SUPERNATURAL DREAM

It wasn’t just a dream...
It was a supernatural, extraordinary dream
That absorbs the heat of boredom from my body
And wipes the cold drops of snow from my forehead
It takes me to the Niagara Falls
And the roads of the Amazon
I climb Everest to the tunes of Beethoven
And I am painted as Mona Lisa by Da Vinci's hands
I become a tongue that stretches over Shakespeare's lips
A dream written in Jiqor, the sweetest verses of Al-Sayyab
It takes me as a mermaid
To the graves of sorrow and factories of joy
The throne is carried by the stars
The sun sings to me
And the moon dances for me
I command the seas, and they crash
I create a land where no...
Black or white dot exists
Where every man is a lover
And every woman is a beloved.
