Auryen (Bobojonova Dinora) - poem
LOST IN MY FOREST

Go then, wander into other night,
Go then, drown within another sea,
Go then, turn to dust with earth’s embrace-
Yet in my forest lost you still will be.

By day you’ll search, by night you’ll think you’ve found,
Across the seas you’ll drift and sink below,
You’ll hide your heart deep in the silent ground-
Yet in my forest lost you still will go.

You’ll leave, and give your heart to someone new,
You’ll leave, your soul in other hands to tie,
You’ll leave, your pain to other lips confess-
Yet in my place a shadow you’ll deny.

A lover’s heart is never known with ease,
You’ll never truly understand its flame.
A lover’s heart is something none can see,
Nor grasp its depth, nor ever speak its name.
One day you’ll wander toward the forest’s way-
And never know the path that led you astray.
