INDEPENDENT HOMELAND

Your streams sing softly, pure and bright,
Your mountains stand as strength and might.
I live in you, forever blessed,
For you I write each verse with zest.
My Homeland, your word is law and guide,
You live forever deep inside.
Give thanks, for while we still remain,
Your radiant face shall shine again.
Your brow is washed of bitter tears,
Your land has cast away its fears.
Through Independence, proud and free,
National pride now lives in me.
I am your simple daughter, Land,
Forever loyal, hand in hand.
With good deeds, learning, honor bright,
I answer “Yes!” to you outright.
