A SPARTAN MEETS A SPARTAN

Two shields of rough-worn
Have met on the field of dust,
Two helmets are gleaming
It may etch with Spartan trust.
No words were needed
As the eyes could speak,
Battles won and have courage
Have strong and meek.
They stood as one in a silent
Gentle watchful pair,
Two souls are entwined
Have brotherhood to share.
Thou Metal and flesh
With warrior's new design,
It’s augmented in mind
When the purpose is to define.
A Spartan has stands
Where force beyond compare,
It’s born of science
The aim of the nation's care.
He walks on the path
Where the duty takes its hold,
A hero have forged
When the stories are told.
