IN THE SILENCE OF DAWN

"Love does not fade with time - it becomes light in the darkness, a whisper in the wind, an echo of footsteps in memory."
- Ankica Anchie

FOREWORD
In the silence of dawn, while the world still dreams, words are born like drops of dew upon a leaf. Each poem carries the trace of the unspoken - longing woven into footsteps, nostalgia reflected in a gaze, love that whispers even when it seems to be gone
Memories mirror themselves in these verses, like a river that never ceases to flow, though its shores are no longer the same. This collection is not merely a reflection of what we have lost or found - it is both a cry and a whisper, a tender touch upon the skin of time
For love is not fleeting. It lives in the wind, in the stars above us, in hands that still remember, and in hearts that never stop waiting

I.
BETWEEN BREATH AND SILENCE

Do not call me by name
if it will fall like a leaf
into a wind that does not remember

Call me silence
-
the kind that remains
when all words are gone

Autumn lives within me,
not longing for spring,
but understanding the fall
as a form of existence

I walk through the world
like one who has already left
and returned without explanation,
carrying in my hands
what cannot be given
nor lost

Your presence is not a touch,
but a space
where I am no longer a stranger to myself

And even when I am gone,
I remain in what lingers between us
-
in a gaze that asks no questions,
in a hand that knows the way
without ever having learned it

Love
-
is not a word we speak,
but the time that outlives us

It comes quietly,
like snow upon restless thoughts,
and remains
like a trace that does not fade
even when everything else is lost

If you ever forget me,
do not search for me in memory
-
search for me within yourself,
where you first
ceased to be alone
