Amal Zakaria - Poem (Prepared Angela Kosta)
Amal Zakaria – Algeria

MY ETERNAL DWELLING IN YOUR SHADOW

Despite the blazing passion,
Your shadow extinguishes it.
You deny the tears of love,
And did you find refreshment in the shiver of my shoulders?
On the throne of my feelings,
You held a carnival for the dolls.

My armies have been tamed
On the sacred land,
And their hooves have rested.

You have your seasons of separation,
And I have my barren fields
In the forests of my visions,
A downpour
Not severed by the swords of silence.

I believe in the generation of grandmothers,
Bare of the veil of hiding.
A stone from the beloved, an apple,
And your camel,
Trembles the body,
Like dew
Slipping on marble.

What now,
O Lord of the Soul?
In the notebooks of values and humanity,
If you have made love with the flower
And every rose,
Pour your sap,
And sip the nectar
To the farthest extent.

Your wind no longer
Pollinates my anger,
Your images and the butterflies,
Are faded, cardboard covers.

In the realms of love,
The verses of the soul ascend,
With the surah of existence.

Go,
And leave.

The key to your manhood
Is stuck in the glass of my femininity,
You forgot it one drunken night.

I adorn the night of longing
With the dust of nostalgia,
The wailing of ribs,
Played by memories,
A symphony of joy,
Despite the noses of absence.

O nightingale of dreams,
Give me your soft fingers,
And recite
On the violin of my chest.

Love is fire and rain,
So quench me,
When the skin of waiting burns,
And O breeze of the soul,
The life has passed
In departure and autumn.

The breasts of the cloud are grieving,
The children of love
Murmur the whiteness of your chin,
So come,
With the maturity of your heart,
And tear apart the night of delusion
With the knife of truth.

Love is a creed,
Without prayer,
Without a humble heart
For the virgin poem.

I have prepared for you a silk rug,
And a rosary,
In the necks of lovers,
Sanctifying our names
Through the years.

Come,
To love you more.
