*IN THE BOOKS*

Visited the gone era by turning the pages,
Knew about the life of saints and sages.
Accompanied them for a while,
Found them loyal to their Lord, all the while.

Of the gone era, I turned the pages of my land,
Found each one a helping hand,
Generous and kind, without envy.
Today, such humans we rarely see.

Visited the families, found them gay,
Venerating elders, adoring the young,
Living their days without any fray.

Ascending each rung on the ladder of life,
Without greed or envy,
Resolving their differences without any strife.
